Dear Future,
Yesterday was a day that felt full, not just in schedule but in connection. After Mother’s Day, I brought my oldest home.
Then, my youngest & I treated ourselves to creamies at a local stand—small joys that remind us of simple pleasures.
Evening settled in comfortably. We made battered fish, one of my youngest’s favorites, paired with homemade tartar sauce.
After dinner, we each drifted to our own spaces to unwind.
But soon enough, a knock on the door broke the quiet. It was my neighbor. Generous, kind, always looking out for me. They stopped by to check in—not just to make sure I was still on board with the bird habitat project on the property line, but also to see how I was doing. They noticed that the tree in the back was down and offered to take care of it. I gladly accepted. We also discussed the mower, something they seemed happy to help with.
It’s moments like these that remind me how rare & wonderful it is to have people in your corner when life feels overwhelming.
Speaking of overwhelm—this week is going to be a marathon. Work, then back out to Dash, Spark, and Instacart, all to rebuild the savings and cover vet bills that came out to about $600. And, of course, there’s the upcoming vacation.
This week’s mission: make money, keep pushing forward, and trust that generosity—both given and received—keeps life moving in the right direction. Signed, Me
