Parenthood Chronicles

Yesterday:
Kiddo was under the weather, so I made an appointment at urgent care for the evening. By the time I finished work, their sore throat was gone, and they felt fine, so we canceled the appointment. 

Today:
We both managed to wake up early and get to school and work on time—everything seemed to be going smoothly. But by 1 PM, the school nurse called, and I had to pick up kiddo; they weren’t feeling well. My supervisor wasn’t thrilled, but what could I do? 

Kiddo felt bad for pulling me away from work and worried about letting people down. I reassured them it’s okay, and we stopped at the drug store (doorDash$ was deposited today!)for medicine, apple juice, and some vitamin C cough drops before heading home for rest and recovery.
